In my work, black and white
is not the absence of colour but the presence of conflict.
Statement
Black and white is not only a language. It is a position.
Gianolio turns conflict into visual form. Monochrome is neither nostalgia nor decoration: it removes noise and isolates what remains. His works explore mask, labour, desire, madness, identity and departure as forms of contemporary conflict.
